1. Scope and acceptance
This Policy applies to information collected through this website and in connection with inquiries, meet-and-greets, bookings, overnight stays, drop-in visits, dog walks, house-sitting support, pet updates, customer service, social media communications, and related business activities. It applies whether information is provided online, by email, by phone, by text message, through social media, in person, or through a third-party booking or payment provider.
By using the website or providing information to us, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not submit information through the website; you may contact us to discuss an alternative way to communicate.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Identity and contact information: name, email address, telephone number, preferred communication method, and emergency-contact information.
- Service and scheduling information: requested services, dates, times, frequency, service location, travel information relevant to care, booking history, preferences, and special requests.
- Pet information: names, species, breed, age, sex, temperament, routines, feeding instructions, medications, allergies, mobility needs, behavioral history, bite or escape history, vaccination or veterinarian information, and other details needed to provide safe care.
- Home and access information: service address, parking or gate instructions, key or lockbox arrangements, alarm instructions, household hazards, authorized visitors, camera disclosures, plant or mail-care instructions, and other access details. Please do not send alarm codes or similarly sensitive access credentials through an unsecured public channel unless requested for a confirmed booking.
- Transaction information: quotes, invoices, deposits, balances, refunds, payment status, and limited payment-related records. If a third-party processor is used, that provider may collect card or bank details directly; we generally do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
- Communications and content: emails, texts, call notes, booking-form entries, feedback, reviews, survey responses, photos or videos you send, and records of customer-service conversations.
- Consent and authorization records: service agreements, veterinary authorizations, emergency instructions, photo permissions, acknowledgments, and choices regarding communications.
Information collected automatically
When you use the website, our hosting or technology providers may automatically receive limited technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate region derived from IP address, timestamps, error logs, and security events. The site may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for basic operation, security, accessibility, and performance. We do not currently use the website to sell personal information or serve behaviorally targeted advertisements.
Information from other sources
We may receive information from a household member or authorized contact, a referral source, a veterinarian or emergency contact you authorize, social media platforms when you interact with our page, and booking, payment, website-hosting, or communications providers. Information obtained from third parties is handled under this Policy, while the third party’s own collection remains subject to its privacy policy.
3. How we use information
We use information only as reasonably necessary for legitimate pet-care and business purposes, including to:
- respond to inquiries, assess availability, prepare quotes, schedule meet-and-greets, confirm bookings, and provide requested services;
- create and follow individualized care plans, maintain pet and household safety, administer agreed medications, and communicate with veterinarians or emergency contacts when authorized or reasonably necessary in an emergency;
- send booking confirmations, reminders, invoices, receipts, service notices, pupdates, photos, and customer-support messages;
- process payments, deposits, adjustments, cancellations, refunds, and accounting records;
- authenticate requests, prevent fraud, protect clients, pets, homes, and our personnel, investigate incidents, and enforce agreements;
- operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our services;
- maintain insurance, tax, legal, regulatory, safety, and recordkeeping obligations;
- request feedback and, only with appropriate permission, display a review or pet photo;
- send occasional service news or promotional communications where permitted. You may opt out of promotional email at any time, although we may still send service-related messages.
4. Sensitive information
Certain pet-care instructions may reveal sensitive household information, such as your exact service location, travel dates, home-access information, alarm instructions, or the health needs of a pet. We use this information to provide and secure requested services, respond to emergencies, and meet legal or insurance obligations. We do not sell sensitive personal information. We ask that you provide only information reasonably needed for care and use a secure method we designate for access credentials.
6. Pet photos, reviews, and social media
We may send you photos or videos as part of your service. We will not intentionally publish identifiable images of the interior of your home, your address, access information, or your travel schedule. We will seek permission before using client-provided testimonials or identifiable pet photos for public marketing when permission is not already included in a separate written agreement.
If you interact with Premier Paws on Facebook or another platform, that platform may collect information independently under its own terms and privacy policy. Public comments, reactions, reviews, or posts may be visible to others. Please avoid placing private booking, home-access, or pet-medical details in public comments.
8. Your privacy choices and requests
Subject to identity verification, applicable law, and lawful exceptions, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we process personal information about you;
- provide access to or a portable copy of information you supplied;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete information that is no longer required, subject to legal, safety, transaction, insurance, dispute, and recordkeeping exceptions;
- withdraw an optional consent or photo permission for future use;
- opt out of promotional messages.
Submit a request to premierpawsconcierge@gmail.com or call 832-760-8319. Describe the request and the email or phone number associated with your records. We may ask for reasonable information to verify identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authority and direct confirmation from the client. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful denial or limitation.
Premier Paws does not currently sell personal information or process it for targeted advertising or qualifying automated profiling. We intend to honor reasonable access, correction, and deletion requests even where a particular privacy law may not apply to our small business.
9. Communications choices
Service-related messages—such as booking confirmations, schedule changes, safety notices, invoices, or pupdates—are part of providing requested services and may continue while a booking or account matter is active. You may opt out of promotional emails by using an unsubscribe option when available or emailing us. You may request that nonurgent texts stop, but doing so may limit our ability to provide real-time care updates. Message and data rates may apply.
10. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including while you are an active or prospective client and for appropriate periods afterward to maintain booking, accounting, tax, insurance, incident, consent, and legal records. Retention varies by record type, sensitivity, contractual commitments, and legal requirements. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we take steps to delete, destroy, or de-identify it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. These may include limited access, password protection, secure provider tools, data minimization, and careful handling of access instructions. No website, storage system, email, text, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for using an appropriate channel and for notifying us promptly if a key, code, account, or communication may have been compromised.
If a security incident affects personal information, we will investigate and provide notices to affected individuals or authorities when required by applicable law.
11. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults arranging pet care and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
12. Processing location
Premier Paws operates in Texas, United States. Our technology providers may process or store information in other U.S. states or countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for such processing.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, vendors, or legal obligations. The “Last updated” date will identify the latest version. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the website or direct communication when appropriate. Changes apply prospectively from their effective date unless law requires otherwise.
